Technical Question

Hi all Geeks.. last night during log off I was closing progs one by one when the com decided to do its own thing. It suddenly rebooted mid way during closing. When it rebooted it became stuck on Mobo info page during/before post.I couldn't get to bios or anywhere.. Ummm says i and the only thing i could think of was to shortpin cmos jumper (for what reason I dont know but it seemed an action of a desperate man) and desperate I was.. Then i powered up and Uereka it all came back to norm just needing to change cmos from the safe envoirment.. So WHY should altering the cmos settings affect the boot sequence on me HD ... any suggestions GEEKS ????

 

all you did was reset the boot sequence to factory default by resetting the cmos. apparently, the boot sequence was changed... but then, it also fixes bios errors on some computers as well, which could have happened in your case.
