How do you handle your telecommunication expenses? We've been noticing some drastic changes on telecommunication costs these past few months specifically in our Sales and Marketing Department. Of course we are aware that most of the call logs are for sales call purposes. However, we're trying to look for some ways on how to manage it properly. Perhaps we need to apply some standard procedures and limitations to control the increasing rates of our expenditures. You might want to suggest something that you also practice in the office. Thanks.

    Hi

As a Gov dept we moved to Cisco IP phones as using the internet and intranet for calls really did reduced costs, the caveat is that the other end needs to be IP phone enabled too so while it may reduce some costs if you are still phoning a landline its going to cost, but if you have multiple bases around country invest in IP phones as it will reduce costs between bases.

Yeah do let us know how you get on with that service as I know I'm interested as I seek ways out to save us money, big Gov has none (or we waste boat loads on shit)....
