I would so much appreciate help with maybe malware? I don't know. I got the error that my temp internet files were moved to a new location. I didn't do this . Also my windows temp file is moved looks like to my desk top? I didn't do that either. My computer has slowed down to a crawl and takes forever to boot up. When I surf, it take forever to get to a new webb site. This is new. Do you think it might be malware?

Thank you for your help, Michelle C.

Please use the other malware forum to do the Read and Run First instructions. Then attach the requested logs.

What ever is wrong with my laptop won't allow me to download Malware bytes. I am not sure what to do.

Also, something is causing the browser to keep crashing

Skip MBAM and try to do as much as you can.

I managed to download hitman pro and Rogue killer, but it won't let me run them. both of them ran over night for about 14 hours and never even got half way through. I can't reset my computer because it says that the "environment" for the reset does not exist. The restore points have also been deleted somehow.
I can get online after waiting a long time and it takes a long time for the pages to go from one to the other.

Please download the latest version of FRST the below link.
Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.

Note: Make sure you download the proper version ( 32 bit or 64 bit ) for your PC. Only one will run, the correct one. So it you make a mistake and download the wrong one, go back and get the other.
    • Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
    • Press Scan button.
    • It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please attach it to your next reply.
    • The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply.

I want to thank you so much for trying to help. I’m on my phone now because the laptop wouldn’t boot up at all this last time. I am reinstalling windows with a recovery usb. I don’t know what happened but it was one heck of a crash. I will download this that you suggested in case it happens again. I appreciate the staff at Major Geeks.

Just an update. I don't know if it would help anyone in the future. All the symptoms I described were because the hard drive died. I had to send it into HP for replacement. Thank God it was still under warranty. :) Now, I know what to look for if it begins to happen again. Thanks again for all of your assistance!
