Anyone know how to test your USB ports to see if they're giving off at 1.1 or 2.0?
I sometimes wonder about mine in the rear...seem as fast as the front ones which are 1.1:confused::confused::confused::confused:

Look in Device Manager under Universal Serial Bus Controllers.

If it says "Enhanced", then you have USB 2.0, at least driver wise.

*Also note that XP on it's own does NOT support USB 2.0. You must have SP1 or greater for USB 2.0.

Well apparently there's only one on the mobo under Device Manager that says enhanced.
I'm not sure, how many I'm supposed to have.

Brown, are you sure I'll get a pop-up?
I just turned on my external hard drive, nothing came up and I'm connected to one of the USB ports in the front.
I remember being told by a SanDisk rep, 2.0 ports are in the back...soooo:confused::confused::confused:

If not getting a pop-up telling you that it would run faster, then you have 2.x ports.

One entry in Device Manager saying Enhanced doesn't mean it's only 1 USB port that's 2.0.
