Text disappears, unable to open programs, blocked out of others,

Unsure as to what exactly is going on with my computer, but after a certain amount of time elapses all the text from my browser--tabs, icons, too, and main bar on top--disappears. I then go check my computer and they begin doing the same thing as I begin clicking on it. I can open certain files but cannot distinguish which file is which because text has disappeared. However, when I restart my computer the problem always goes away until a certain amount of time passes again and it does the same thing. I have no idea as to the problem but I have taken the actions you have suggested and am attaching them. Please help, thank you.

Let's just start with this:

Please use add/remove programs to uninstall:
Java(TM) 6 Update 3"
Java(TM) 6 Update 5

Please disable all anti-virus and anti-spyware programs while we do the following ( be sure to re-enable when we are finished):

Open notepad and copy and paste the following text in the quote box into the window:

Save this as fix.bat
Choose to save as all files.
Doubleclick fix.bat and let the program run.
A small black dos window will flash, this is normal.

Let's clean up these.....just use windows explorer to find and delete them:
