Just wanted to thank everyone at Majorgeeks for their help with my problem with spywarestrike. I had the same problem that Goodier had and followed his thread and finally got rid of it. I actually learned quite a bit about my computer during the process I never knew anything about safeboot and restore points and lots of other things. Thanks again espeacially to Chas for his time spent helping everyone. I have one queation should I leave everything I installed on my computer as in Hijack,smitrem, adaware, spybot,etc.?

Glad you were helped, the guys here work tirelessly and free! I would keep Hijack This! on your machine just in case, its harmless. Frankly, its a good idea to scan with multiple spyware scanners on a regular basis, I would keep Ad-Aware and download Microsoft Anti-Spyware which should give you some real time protection. SpywareBlaster installed might help as well.

You're welcome. Keep all the items MA mentioned and keep Spybot too. Since tools like smitrem are constantly havng to be tweaked it is sometimes best to always download the lastest version from the link given before using it. These kind of tools are very small and do not require installation, so it is no big deal to re-download.
