Thanks a whole Bunch and Defragging!!!

I'd just like to thank Rustyjack and DomLuc for their invaluable advice which has resulted in my machine flying like it never has before. I don't know what was lurking in its innards, but all is extremely well right now.......but for one thing....not a problem really as I have enlisted another defragmenter. My question is : Why did the defragmenter that came with XP Home, stop working? This may be an old wrinkled chestnut but I never did find an explanation. Any ideas?:-D

 

Sorry DomLuc, being fairly new to MAJOR GEEKS, and having so many issues with my machine, I must admit to being a tad confused when posting. Now that things have settled down, I'll RTBM! ( read the bl***y manual), something I tend to leave until last.
