Thanks for ALL the Help

    Over the past year I have run into some of the most frustrating malware adware. I believe both the about:blank and the SpyQuake/SpyFalcon crap has been out there for some time, but I had avoided it until recently.

    On both occasions I must applaud you (all contributors) and this site. The steps you have outlined are decipherable and understandable even to the semi educated person like myself. After following the procedures on both occasions my PC was clean as a whistle. Although I do not know what any of it means, I have attached the smitfiles text file in case they are of any use for you guys to assist anyone else that has fallen prey to these $&%^ things.

    Thanks again for your help and I will be recommending the site to many of my friends and acquaintances.

    i think that is it as far as spyware or malware, but i am taking the suggest precautions.

    in addition, the company that infected me, is getting a copy of my letter to the FTC, Texas Attorney General, and the BBB. i am filing a formal complaint so that they are on record for doing that kind of business.

    Glad to hear it Justin! I wish more people would follow up on steps like this. In many cases it can be useful, in many others it is not because many of the malware companies are not located in the USA.
