I solved my serious malware problem thanks to the threads here at MajorGeeks.
I found out that you can actually remove PurityScan(found it on Google, lead to Semantec's site with information about it).

I ran the PurityScan's software remover, ran a virus scan and Ad-Aware after following the instructions for general removal, which I also found I could remove a piece of adware from Install/Uninstall from the Windows CP.

I have less process than before, more memory and computer working nicely.
I removed the last traces of adware from the registry in safe mode, and now I'm finalising my left over registry enteries through HijackThis which mention (file missing) for the former spyware enteries.

This forum is a great resource.
    Thanks guys. :)
