Glad your happy. Nice machine, looks like you got a lot of newer technology, but not the most expensive brand new stuff, so that is smart buying. Plenty of hard drive, ram, good motherboard, decent video card nice burners, fast quad core and you didnt get Vista.

    Well done.

I am assuming you mean a photo/picture editing program. Here's some great free ones:
    PhotoMeister http://www.majorgeeks.com/PhotoMeister_d5034.html
Paint .NET http://www.majorgeeks.com/Paint.NET_d4548.html (they have a beta available too: http://www.majorgeeks.com/Paint.NET_Beta_d5576.html)
For video editing, I know of only one free one. I haven't used it personally, but I have a friend who says it's great; it's called ZS4 and it's free, right here at Major Geeks:

I need some clarification on this. Which files are duplicates? I have two external drives that I use for backing up videos and downloads and such. It got to the point where they both had many of the same files, and some different files, and both were almost full, and it was a nightmare. Between the two drives, I had over 160gb worth of data to be wrangled and organized and cleaned up. I ran a file 'sync' type of utility. I set it up so that that both drives ended up exactly the same, then I simply formatted one of the drives to erase it. I did this about a year ago and I don't remember which app I used, but you should be able to find something here at Major Geeks in the Drive Utilities section http://www.majorgeeks.com/downloads8.html
    Good luck!
