lol man that is a huuuuuuge question and one I cannot answer.

I'm a rock lover but I also listen to everything else except Death Metal, rap and modern R&B (which has nothing at all to do with rhythm and blues :mad)

GnR, ACDC, Eagles, Skynard, Santana, Maiden, ELO, BTO, Steve Miller, Van Halen..... oh the list is too long to think about lol

    Sorry, I give up :-D

Those are bands, not songs lol

GnR would have to be my fav band but Skynard is up there too.

If I hate to name a fav song it would be split between Sweet Chil 'o Mine (GnR) and Freebird "Out take version" (Skynard)
Many moons ago I learnt both on guitar, Freebird was very tiring to play.

I like everything in Fiona Apple's Catalog. Snuff, by Slipknot is a great song.. I love Sublime, all things Sublime. I have all their CD's on Vinyl, hanging on my wall. Ke$ha has some trendy good songs, Blah Blah Blah, and something else, I can't remember.. I have 868 songs on my playlist at work. I'm sure you don't want all of them for an answer. LOL

It's always good netiquette to start by posting with what you like and then ask the good folks here what they like. Have you found our 'Watcha Listening to' thread yet? You came in here with an internet privacy issue and now ask for Ubuntu games and music links from my understanding.

That's quite the gamut to run for a new member. You aren't even polite by not posting your likes, just asking us what we like. Bad netiquette IMO. Are you in marketing? I'll post one of my favourite numbers ever, MG members need not click.;) Ahhh, good stuff!-D

No wonder you didn't want to post your music preferences. Eminem is just sooooo last decade LOL
As Augie has said, go onto the 'Whatcha listening to?' thread in the Lounge. You'll get a fair idea of the different tastes of MGs' members from that.
I like this thread, I like 'Top Ten' lists of things. I'm not like normal people. I'm special. My mam said.
A top ten of personal favourite tracks is a pretty big ask. I have hundreds of favourites. The list I compiled comprises the songs I think I've listened to most times over the years.
Linkin Park are passé, too. No offense :p

She'll need a really good teacher to pull that one off. It's so inflected with Geordie that even Geordies don't understand it :-D
    Nice thought, though.
Shame 'Jim'll Fix It' ain't still going.....

  16. Rabite

    Rabite Private E-2

With the current state of anything that even remotely resembles the "rock" genre being comparable to apocalyptic aftermath (you know, desolate ... soul crushingly, depressingly bad.) I've found myself (shamefully) listening to more and more "R&B" - it's freakin' catchy as all kinds of Hell.

As for a "Top 10" songs? Not gonna happen ... artists are easier though. (In no particular order.)

    • The Beatles
    • Radiohead
    • PJ Harvey
    • The Zombies
    • The Black Keys
    • Moby (I'm sorry for this.)
    • Sarah Mclachlan
    • Gorillaz
    • M.I.A.
    • Regina Spektor
Creedence Clearwater Revival, Loreena McKennit ... there are too many. :wine

Well, top 10 most influential artists/genres of mine, how's that?;)

    Django Reinhart
    Duke Ellington
    Benny Goodman
    Les Paul
    Little Richard/Elvis
    Miles Davis/Charlie Parker
    Cream/Beatles/Stones
    The Whole Motown scene
Fusion etc...which may have given a start to disco or techno for some reason.
    Hmm, I'm missing one here.)
