The one I have the most to comment on is the tank being stolen. I remember a story on destroyed in seconds about someone who was disgruntled at the town he lived in. He spent a couple weeks armor plating his own bulldozer and then went on a rampage destroying town structures and vehicles. The police could not stop him, and the event did not end until he got stuck. The question then arose what does it take to get military intervention? The person I was talking to suggested that if he had more than just hunting rifles on the thing, it would prompt a military response.

Now here is a guy who has stolen a tank from the National Guard and the police has to deal with him. One of my co-workers is in the Army reserves and says that there are strict protocols the military has to follow in these situations and it is on the local police to deal with it first. Besides the point, my solution (air strike) would probably cause more damage to the town than the thief in the tank :major

 

I guess that spike strips are out of the question.

 

A shoulder launched Javelin missile would do a great job of stopping it,minimal collateral damage due to the small warheads and a 90% hit percentage,each missile costs as much as a Porsche but I guess its worth it if it saves one building.

 

The church could possibly be one in Russia I heard about on the news a couple of months ago....hang on......
