plasma suspended in an electromegnetic field using dueterium as a fuel very startrekky,probably posted before but I'm in awe of the inside of the reactor,I'm sure I'v killed a few aliens inside on of those in farcry

haven't read about fusion since high school, as it didn't seem like we'd make any discernible progress for hundreds of years. Seem to be doing better than expected.

1-200 miliion degrees inside the reactor,from the centre of the reaction moving outwards each 10mm it gets one million degrees centigrade cooler,unbelievable numbers

 

Read Fire from Ice for details on energy from fusion. TOKAMAK is another hot fusion reactor. Helium 3, which can be found on the moon, can be used as a fuel.

In addition aneutronic fusion has little to no radiation.
