Naughty Dog has apparently been working on a remake. But I have to ask why they've decided to do this, as the original isn't very old. It was out in 2013, but then the following year, Sony received a PS4 remastered version. It's fine as it is...

Probably switching to a new engine to get that sweet raytracing that nobody can use because the GPUs aren't in stock.

 

Hollywood does the same thing. They just keep remaking everything. Sometimes, one remake even leads to another remake.

This cycle will never end. But I am glad there will always be the originals to appreciate.

 

You're very right, I've seen many obviously remade movies.
