... the desktop wall paper won't 'stick'. This PC had one of those desktop hijackers, you know the one with the red background and the biohazard symbol saying "your privacy is in danger". Anyway, all the malware has been removed, but the desktop is still getting changed to a blank white wallpaper. It's now blank because the hijacker has been removed so there's no picture to put up. In the display settings, there's an option in the Web section that won't delete. It's for "privacy protection". I can delete it, and the wallpaper returns to normal for maybe five minutes, and then it goes back to the white background and the "privacy protection" entry returns. See the screenshot below. I've tried just about everything I can think of, so if anyone has any ideas, please post 'em. Feel free to move this to the Malware forum if needed. I put it here because the malware is basically all gone, there's just this one little annoyance still left.
    Thanks.

    Problem SOLVED!!! :celebrate
:highfive I did some research, and realized I had overlooked the reliable "SDFix". I downloaded it, extracted it to C:\SDFix, rebooted in safe mode, and ran the batch file. It did it's thing while I drank heavily. (just kidding) It worked like a freekin' charm!
