Well, before I begin, let me say that I have tried just about everything. Searching for files that begin with TDSS, trying to get numerous things to begin running, and so on. The damn thing just won't let anything run. Exe, bat, dll. Nothing. I'm pretty much out of ideas, as I've used up my knowledge base and every other fix on the net so far has failed sadly. Help would be appreciated. Oh yeah, I have that Antispyware Soft one, if that helps at all.

Have you tried in safe mode? Have you tried changing the .exe extension to .com?

Have you tried fixing the .exe using this:
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/file_assoc.htm --> ninth one down.

If you have SAS and MBAM on your system already, can you open an IE window and run the programs from there?

Does task manager open? Can you run anything there?

If you can't run anything, there is not much we can do.

You could try either of these:
Kaspersky Rescue Disk.
BitDefender Rescue Disk-with-auto-update.

I actually solved this myself about an hour ago. No, absolutely nothing would work. Not even task manager. However, I realized that I should go to safe mode and try it there, because most programs don't start up. Needless to say, it worked. Got onto safe mode, and destroyed the malware with MBAM. Thanks for the reply though.

At the very beginning of the READ & RUN ME FIRST link that TimW gave you, see the 4th bullet list item. It tells you to use safe mode if necessary.

I would still suggest that you follow our instructions so that I can check to make sure all traces of it are gone.
