the "my computer" folder changed look

I am using XP and after a system lockup and restart, the "my computer" folder changed it's apperance. Instead of seperating things by catagories, ie. hard disk, removable media etc. it displayed everything together like any other folder. I tried everything I could think of but nothing helped. I finally had to go back to a previous restore point which solved the problem. Does anyone know how to solve this (without having to restore) in case it happens again. Thanks

Well, I feel like a complete fool. I must have tried every combination except that one. I have got to stop working on my system at 2 am. Thanks for the info.
