The newest Linux release

This is the latest edition and has all the bells and whistles.

Glenn Cady proudly announced a few minutes ago, December 6th, that the highly anticipated Ultimate Edition 3.0 operating system has been released and it's available for download on mirrors worldwide.

I downloaded and installed this(you need a lot of patience) it is not the easiest to install as it has a lot of screens to complete before the actual installation.
You can also run it from the boot disk but i found it very slow in that mode.
I did not spend too much time with it because i did not like it (but that is a personal issue) i have no doubt that dedicated Linux users will find it a really good platform.

 

Sounds like it's not ready for prime time yet. I might try it when I have a spare partition available. As to running it from disc, they're all slow but a godsend if your Windows gets borked and one needs help online.

I wonder why the distros don't load themselves fully into RAM when running off of disc? I know you've got tons of RAM.

I did not find it the easiest to navigate as it is vastly different from Mint that i have used for a while although it is very pretty to look at and the layout is easy on the eye it was just not my taste so i could be said to be a bit unfair for not giving it more time to grow on me.

I also find it frustrating that the distro does not utilize the 12 gigs of memory that i have.
