O.J. Simpson book, TV Special Canceled

Chairman Rupert Murdoch says project was ‘ill-considered’

Nov. 20: News Corp. has decided to cancel publication of O.J. Simpson's upcoming book and his TV special. MSNBC’s Alison Stewart reports.

NEW YORK - O.J. Simpson’s book and TV special were canceled Monday, an astonishing end to an imaginary confession that had sickened the public as the very worst kind of tabloid sensation.

“I and senior management agree with the American public that this was an ill-considered project,” said Rupert Murdoch, whose News Corp. owns both Fox Broadcasting and publisher HarperCollins. “We are sorry for any pain that this has caused the families of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson.”

“If I Did It,” in which Simpson was to have described how he would have killed his ex-wife, had been scheduled to air as a two-part interview Nov. 27 and Nov. 29 on Fox. The book was to have followed on Nov. 30.

HarperCollins spokeswoman Erin Crum said some copies had already been shipped to stores but would be recalled, and all copies would be destroyed... To Read More and See Related Video: Click Here

Good to hear, gives me hope for the media doing the right thing once in a while.

As an added bonus, with the cancellation of the obligatory book signings, O.J. will have plenty of time to go back to the golf course and search for the "real" killer. I had said all along a fat caddy from New Jersey did it anyway.

    LMAO Star! <g>
Here's the obligatory accompanying "future" headline:

O.J. Denies Accusation... of Second "I Did It Serial" Killing:
“Rupert Murdoch’s Fairly Un-Balanced Fox Network found DOA!”

Claims he has PROOF that he was searching for the "REAL" Killer at the time:

O.J.: "That day, I was out there again on the links looking for the fat caddy from New Jersey who actually did it!"
("Psssst. Kato, hand me that time-stamped Bella Vista Country Club scorecard photocopy, would'ja please?")

Yeh right:rolleyes: I think it all may be a publicity stunt, someone will copy and distribute the Interview without O.J's and Murdocks approval and in a few years they'll take them to court and recoup the takings a la pamela anderson or Paris Hilton, while telling the relatives "we couldnt stop them, not our fault" they will also get a bung from the loot to shut up
