the quickest overclock ever

i successfully overclocked my system by about 100 mhz in less than 30 seconds. has anybody else beat this timing? if so post it here. ill report again when i try to squeeze another 25 mhz out of it.

 

so you went from 166mhz to 266mhz with a sempron
i can only get mine to 220mhz with my sempron 2400+




asus a8n-sli deluxe
3500+ 64 amd
4x 256 pc3200
2x nforce 6600 gt

What kind of settup are you running ???

 

im doing my current clocking from my pheonix award bios, on my via km400, with a sempron 2600+

Fast overclocks are very dangerous to your equipment.

That being said, I timed myself from Windows XP desktop, reboot into BIOS, back to desktop and it takes 45-50 seconds. Overclocking with a Windows based utility like Powerstrip takes like 5 seconds.

 

fast overclocks are only really dangerous if you don't know what you are doing. And in any case, overclockers buy components to overclock, its their hobby, stuff catching on fire is just part of the fun!
