The sims 2 trouble

So... I've tried to figure this out for quite a while, An would love any help.

This is the story:
I used to play the sims 2 alot before, and had many expansion packs and all. Thing is, some of them were borrowed from friends, who dont have them anymore. Before I got a new PC, I copied the files from the documents folder, but also all the installation files, hoping I could use these to keep playing with all the same content. Is there any way I can use my old installation files to start up again form where i left off, or will I have to play with less expansion packs and start all over?

I used Windows 7 back then, and still does. Please help ASAP! Thanks

 

the problem that you are going to have is serial numbers sims 2 and all expansion packs have serial numbers if you don't have them you are going to be playing sims 2 without the packs.

 

Its easy to get the serial numbers. The problem is i dont have all of the disks, but I have all the installation files. Is there any way I can use these files to play the game?

 

You could try installing it from the files but it could ask for the disk to be inserted.

 

I have tried. When I tried to start it, it couldnt find the games, kind of. Only hte one i tried to start. I put all of the installation files in Program files folder... didnt work
