The word "GEEK?"

Where does the word "GEEK" come from? THis forum consists of "GEEKS," and some of the other forums I visit, the word is also mentioned when the admins refer to changes, etc, etc.

Please tell me? thanks!

 

Hehehehe I suppose I should go read it....
But back in the day when I was a kid, and Major Geeks was a private a "Geek" was a carnival, or circus sideshow performer.
