I'm kind of looking for some new themes for XP. I've found many sites that promise great themes but they always seemed to be bundled with adware or a toolbar or WhenUSave or CouponShopper or some other such borderline virus. Either that, or they aren't really stable and can cause nightmarish problems if they go bad or when you want to uninstall them or for no reason at all things go haywire (Window Blinds, Windows Transformation Pack, and others). So, can anyone recommend a FREE and STABLE and CLEAN theme pack for WinXP?

    Thanks a million!

Hmmmm.... the screen shot doesn't really show much except that the icons are HUGE and that the task bar looks Vista-ish. Maybe I'll give it a go. How's the uninstall with this? I've dealt with theme packs that don't uninstall completely leaving messed up icons and what not.....

I use the XPize dark theme and I haven't tried to uninstall it.. but for more mods try RocketDock, Winflip(Wflip), VistaDriveIcons, VisualTaskTips & Xentient Thumbnails for cool mods.
    All freeware
Or get the uxthemes hack and google xp themes.. they're plenty.

Funny you should mention it LOL I was Googling and ran into it ;) What about the 'skins' type sites like ArtUproar or Skinbase? And what's the deal with .msstyles? I read they have to be digitally signed by MS, and I also read that most aren't digitally signed so that could present a problem. It seems the stuff from the 'skins' sites are .msstyles theme packs (I think; I'm still investigating) but if they aren't digitally signed, what good are they? Anyway, I already have checked out Winflip. Very cool, but not what I'm really looking for.... and thanks for others, I'll check it all out in the next few days (don't have time until Sunday, work gets in the way).

Anyone else want to get in on this and throw in some theme ideas, tips, links, or whatever ????
