Things we can learn from kids.
1 There is no such thing as child-proofing your house.
2 If you hook a dog leash from a ceiling fan the motor is not strong enough to rotate an 18k boy in a batman cape
3 It is however enough to spread paint on all four walls of an 8m x 8m room
4 Rugby ball make marks on ceilings
5 You should not throw footballs up when the ceiling fan is on
6 When using the ceiling fan as a bat it takes a few goes before you get it right
7 Glass in windows do not stop a football hit by a ceiling fan
8 When you hear the toilet flush and the words uh-oh it’s already too late
9 Lego will pass through the digestive tract of an 4 year old
10 Duplo’s will not
11 Play-dough and microwave should never be used in the same sentence
12 Superglue if forever
13 VCR’S do not eject sandwiches
14 Garbage bads do not make good parachutes
15 Marbles in petrol tanks make lots of noise when driving
16 The spin cycle on the washing machine doesn’t make earthworms dizzy
17 But it will make cats dizzy
18 Cats throw up twice their body weight when dizzy
19 QUIET does not necessarily mean “don’t worry”

 

This was the rule at my house during my childhood. Both my parents have to have white noise generators to sleep. If it gets quiet they wake up in a panic thinking that I am about to do something horrible.

I haven't lived at home for over 2 decades. That is one hell of a pavlovian response. :-D

 

20. Superglue works best on fingers.

I don't think superglue sticks anything at all.All the ER visits to get our fingers cut apart just tricks us into thinking it works.

 

My neighbors five year old son taught him all about Super Glue in automobile
door locks, yes including the hatchback. :-D
