   I need to acces bios on ibm thinkpad 760xd so that i can set irq for modem. can somebody tell me how to get to bios?

   There should be text at the bottom of the IBM splash screen while the computer is booting and loading windows that lists two function keys. As I've only worked on one ThinkPad, I don't really remember which F key that calls up the Bios setting, but believe that it was F10. Hope this helps!
