My buddy gave me a IBM Thinkpad T42. I used it for a brief time and everything worked great but he had over 20gbs of crap on it. I didn't feel like sorting through so i restored to factory defaults. When everything is set i can't connect wirelessly. There is no option to view wireless networks or anything. I did microsoft update and updated the drivers for the card. In Network Connections i can create a wireless connection but i can't view wireless connections or anything. Also in Device Manager there is other devices and it's a network controller with a question mark but it won't let me update or anything or even tell me what it is besides it being a network controller. I hope i have explained enough. This is annoying i am hardwired to my router which is another room right now. Thanks.
