I'm happy to hear that it helped you, but it will not remove most of the issues we work on in this forum. In fact, it will not even detect most of them.

 

Since I don't know exactly what you had I cannot make a judgement, but you may not have had any major issues. If you had major malware issues like Vundo, SmitFraud and a host of others, onecare would not have help you. In fact odds are it may have even missed things on your PC that could still be there. It all depends on what kind of infections you had.

 

Not noticing any problems does not necessarily mean you are clean. However, don't get me wrong, I'm also not saying that you are definitely infected. The way we find that out is by having people run the below and often people are quite surprised at what is still found.

If you really had a lot of issues then odds are more remains. You probably had one of the infection related to a program like ctfmona.exe (where the letter a could be any letter ).

 

It does take awhile! It is quite comprehensive. It depends on your PC expertise and big your hard disks are and how much is stored on them.

 

No problem. Yes there is a lot but it is very thorough and tries to give you lots of instructions to guide you thru all steps.
