I have followed steps 1 through six in teh "before you ask for help." I checked in the add/remove programs for baddies. Ran Symantec and deleted item from quarantine, made sure the recycle bin is empty. Ran CCleaner. Hidden and system files are visible. RunKey log and ShowNew log are attached. (ran in sequence indicated on the sheet) Updated and ran S&D. Installed and ran Windows Defender and Malicious Software Removal Tool. Current Sun JavaRE is installed. Next message contains Bitdefender adn PandaScan logs.

These are the BitDefender and Panda ActiveScan logs, run in the sequence requested in teh instructions.

I have not yet run the HijackThis program, but it is sitting in its own folder waiting for instructions.

And reading further I saw that I should go ahead and post the hjt log, which I ran from the renamed analyse.exe. It's attached as well.

Note you are using SpywareBlaster v3.2 which is way out of date. You need to update to: SpyWare Blaster

Now you need to uninstall the below as requested in step 0 of the READ ME!
    Viewpoint Manager (Remove Only)
    Viewpoint Media Player

Now please run the below procedure:

    1. Download this file - combofix.exe
    2. Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
    3. When finished, it will produce a log for you. Attach this log to your next reply

    Note:

Do not mouseclick combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall!

I noticed you guys were really busy yesterday, so I kept hunting on my own while I waited; I did go ahead and update the spyware blaster, it was after I posted the log.
yeah, I caught that the second time through. It's gone now. I missed it on the list of bad stuff the first time I read it, but while I was running one of the scans later I saw it and got rid of it.
I'll run that when I get in to work in a few hours; thanks for all the help.

Some items from the below procedure may no longer be found due to previous steps we have run. If not found just ignore that item and continue on with all steps.

Start by downloading a tool we will need- Pocket KillBox

Extract it to its own folder somewhere that you will be able to locate it later.

Run HijackThis and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:

    R3 - URLSearchHook: (no name) - {A8BD6820-6ED7-423E-9558-2D1486B0FEEA} - (no file)
    F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe, C:\WINNT\system32\jeaat.exe
    F2 - REG:system.ini: UserInit=C:\WINNT\system32\userinit.exe,uyhdesf.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [slnntl] C:\WINNT\system32\ttjvtn.exe reg_run
    O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [pitou] C:\WINNT\system32\ttjvtn.exe reg_run
    O20 - AppInit_DLLs:

NOTE: HJT may popup an error about the AppInit_DLLs line. Ignore it and click OK to continue.

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.

Now we need to Reset Web Settings:
    1. If you have an Internet Explorer icon on your Desktop, goto step 2. If not, skip to step 3.
    2. Now right click on your desktop Internet Explorer icon and select Properties. Then click the Programs tab and then click "Reset Web Settings". Now go back to the General tab and set your home page address to something useful like www.majorgeeks.com. Click Apply. Click Delete Cookies, Click Delete Files and select Delete all Offline content too, Click OK. When it finishes Click OK. Then skip step 3.
    3. If you do not have an Internet Explorer icon on your Desktop, click Start, Control Panel (for some systems it may be Start, Settings, Control Panel), Internet Options, Programs tab and then click "Reset Web Settings". Now go back to the General tab and set your home page address to something useful like www.majorgeeks.com. Click Apply. Click Delete Cookies, Click Delete Files and select Delete all Offline content too, Click OK. When it finishes Click OK.
Note for IE 7 users: You need to select Internet Options then the Advanced tab and then Reset Internet Explorer Settings!

Copy the bold text below to notepad. Save it as fixme.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" Once you have saved it double click it and allow it to merge with the registry.
Now run Pocket Killbox by doubleclicking on killbox.exe
Choose Tools > Delete Temp Files and click Delete Selected Temp Files.
Then after it deletes the files click the Exit (Save Settings) button.
NOTE: Pocket Killbox will only list the added files it is able to find on the system. So when you do the below, if some files do not show in the list after pasting them in, just continue.

    Select:
    • Delete on Reboot
    • then Click on the All Files button.
    • Please copy the file paths below to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose copy):

    C:\asdf.txt
    C:\dbg.txt
    C:\nwnmff_e14.exe
    C:\Documents and Settings\kkichler.EJW\Application Data\??curity\j?vaw.exe
    C:\Program Files\PSDream\Uninstall.exe
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Yazzle1281OinUninstaller.exe
    C:\WINNT\DXCecho.exe
    C:\WINNT\Eim03.exe
    C:\WINNT\ms03820420540.exe
    C:\WINNT\srvcxjntqg.exe
    C:\WINNT\srvwvnrzvb.exe
    C:\WINNT\unstall.exe
    C:\WINNT\rppck.dll
    C:\WINNT\a2tpY2hsZXI\asappsrv.dll
    C:\WINNT\a2tpY2hsZXI\command.exe
    C:\WINNT\a2tpY2hsZXI\uZQDsZ1PtrK.vbs
    C:\WINNT\system32\mqoaard.dll
    C:\WINNT\system32\nsh83.dll
    C:\WINNT\system32\prjthq.dll
    C:\WINNT\system32\ttjvtn.exe
    C:\WINNT\system32\wnsintsv.exe
    • Return to Killbox, go to the File menu, and choose Paste from Clipboard.
    • Click the red-and-white Delete File button. Click Yes at the Delete on Reboot prompt.
If you receive a PendingFileRenameOperations prompt, just click OK to continue (But please let me know if you receive this message!).
If Killbox does not reboot just reboot your PC yourself.

After reboot locate the below folders and delete if found:
    C:\Program Files\PSDream
    C:\WINNT\a2tpY2hsZXI
    c:\program files\Windows AdControl
C:\Documents and Settings\kkichler.EJW\Application Data\??curity <--- the ??curity may look like Security in Windows Explorer

Also delete all files in the below folders except ones from the current date (Windows will not let you delete the files from the current day).
    C:\WINDOWS\Temp\
    C:\Documents and Settings\kkichler.EJW\Local Settings\Temp\

Now attach a new HJT log and tell me how the steps went.

Also attach a new log from ShowNew and a new log from GetRunKey.

Make sure you tell me how things are working now!

We have no more popups, and I think killing a lot of junk processes is going to increase his speed considerably. HJT, Runkey and Shownew logs attached. Thanks for your help!

Okay your logs are clean now. So let's do some final cleanup.

Run Pocket Killbox and select File, Cleanup, Delete All Backups!

Now delete the fixme.reg file from your Desktop.

Is Ewido a free trial version or a paid version? If free, uninstall it to avoid conflicts with Windows Defender and also excess use of system resources. If Ewido is a paid version, then uninstall Windows Defender instead.

If you are not having any other malware problems, it is time to go back to step 1 of the READ & RUN ME to Disable System Restore which will flush your Restore Points. Then reboot and enable System Restore to create a new clean Restore Point.

After that, you should work thru the below link:
