This is a good day because...

Today I woke up without a headache!

I know that doesn't sound like something to celebrate, but the past week and a half, I've had it bad every day... Too much stress and pressure at work. Now I have a week off, and headache goes away immediately!

What makes this a good day for you?

 

Today IS a good day because I'm over the flu =)

The last 20 years have been heaven.

 

Today is good because the extended forecast shows steadily rising temps, which means to me that Spring is just around the corner.:celebrate

Today is a good day because nothing tough has happened yet (been a long hard 6 weeks).

 

I found out recently when the humidifier is off I wake up with horrible headaches. No sinus problems so it was a mystery. Tested it and sure enough on, I'm fine, off , awake at 4 am whining.

Today is one of many Good Day's to come:wave I had open heart surgery on 2-6-08(they call it a "Triple A"),got to go home on 2-12-08, But then on Fri. the 15th, I passed out in Walgreens:confused. They took me back to Hospital,and spent another 7 day's in there. I got to come home on friday, I can't begin to tell ya all how good it feels to be home. . During the last 3 weeks I have sat back and really look at LIFE. Today ,I try not to look at how things are wrong,but to look at the many things I have to be grateful for! It is kinda funny that today is the first day I've been back online & when I came to the Lounge, this is the first Thread that caught my eye. Maybe it is true what I've heard that nothing happens in God's world by accident. You all are great! Thanks for being here! cepy

Sorry you've been suffering stress headaches.

Off topic:
As an aside, I don't know if you're familiar with Aromatherapy. I find this a good alternative remedy in many instances, by using a combination of herb and/or floral essential oils as a spritz (spray on freshness), massage into the affected area or added to a warm bath.

For example, to relieve stress, I use a combination of:

• Bergamot
• Lavender
• Neroli
• Rose
• Sandalwood
• Myrrh

The aroma of the above blend made up from a drop or two of each essential oil into an oil burner topped with water I've found to be a great stress reliever.

For headaches, I've found different aromatherapy blends that can be made up for chronic headaches, and migraine headaches to be effective, which I've used either to be inhaled (eg via an oil burner) or massaged as a blend.

Thank you! I can't use aromatherapy, a few years ago I had an extremely bad pneumonia (long story, bad recovery) and ever since, I've had allergies and problems with strong scents, perfume, and also essential oils. So most of the stuff would actually GIVE me a headache... LOL

Trying to sort out the things that causes the stress is usually what works the best. Sometimes that isn't possible though... During extremely bad times, I've gone to a naprapath regularly, and that has been a way to keep alive...

The standard method of a bottle of wine and a late night gaming to put my mind off things works quite well too, that is what I did Saturday evening, hence no headache yesterday! Or today!

 

Today is a good day because I am finally over my most recent relationship and I am alive and well and one experience richer in life.

 

Today is a good day for me because I've reached a new benchmark and set new goals, and am actually enjoying my efforts as I pass old ones.

It's a GREAT day simply because I was able to wake up and ANY day like that HAS to be GREAT!!

 

Today is a good day because it's going to be lackadaisical, which isn't always bad. This weekend is going to be busy but fun. My reason for the quote is that I have Hydrocephalus and don't get many headaches because of my shunt.. But when I do, it scares the crap out of me (probably for no good reason).

Excedrin Migraine is what my family uses, and it always works quickly.
