hi when i did the panda virus scan avast blocked it saying it had a virus any one know whats going on

No it is not really strange at all! It is a rather well know issue with Panda not encrypting their virus signatures and with Avast not realizing it is Panda's signatures and not the virus. Why are you running Panda? If you are not having any problems, is it just a proactive scan. Since you have Avast, try a different online scanner like Bitdefender or one of the other ones in Alternative Scans

It never hurts to be proactive but as I said since you have Avast, you may need to run the other scanners instead. The alternative is to disable Avast while running the scan but that is not a good thing to do while online for the hours it takes to run a scan.
