I'm probably just overreacting ... but when I try to connect to myself (127.0.0.1 OR my private IP 10.0.0.5) I get this big bold writing that says It Works! ... I just had a virus and just removed it and did all the usual stuff but ive never seen that before ... can someone else with Vista and firefox try to connect to 127.0.0.1 and do an ip config and try to connect to yurself with your IPv4 Address too???? Thanks!

Unless you have something to answer your http request on port 80, you cannot browse to your local host or your IPv4 address. You can ping those IP addresses and get an answer but if you enter them into a browser, it should not be connecting unless you have something to answer the http request.

It must have been the virus I had then ... I had about three of them because I recieved one and didn't realise until a coupla days later ... by then it had brought others in ... doesn't matter I just finished a format and reinstall so it should be all good ... thanks anyway :)
