this page is not available

I keep getting this message when I try to access the internet. I am using a T-1 line and have tried different settings, etc. I use IE 6 SP 2. Can someone give me some suggestions to try so I can overcome this problem?

 

I assume the internet is working for you otherwise?

You could try running IEFix. It is supposed to remedy these symptoms:

* When you click a hyperlink in an e-mail message or on a Web page, or right-click a hyperlink on a Web page and then click Open in New Window, you may experience one or more of the following issues:
o Nothing happens
o The new window may be blank
o You may receive a scripting error message

* When you use the Print command or the Print Preview command in Internet Explorer, nothing may happen.

* When you try to connect to Web folders, you may receive the following error message: "The current operation could not be completed because an unexpected error has occurred."

* Internet Options Advanced tab is completely blank.

* Internet Explorer About box version information is completely blank.

* Address bar search does not work.

* Unable to type in text boxes in a search engine or website.


Hmmmmm....symptoms have changed recently... Take this advice with a grain of salt.

 

We need More Info;
What is your OS ?
Are you behind a Router ?
If you are on a network are other Computers affected ?
Do You have a Firewall ?
If you are able to get to a Dos prompt.(Windows PC) Plz type "ipconfig /all"
(with out the " ") and post the results.

You may also consider a diff browser, Mada has covered it indepthly (excellently) but this may be another option. FF is good and what I use.

 

Do We Know if he is on Line at all?

 

I saw this and figured he must be at work, behind a router, with an always on connection (he has posted regarding problems at work before)...So, I asked to confirm...
