This sucks....migraine on a Friday.....

Woke up this morning with a RAGING migraine...

Nothin to say really but" Oooooooooooooo"

 

Ice pack on the base of the skull.

Works wonders.

And if that doesn't work, a fifth of 25 year old Macallan scotch might do the job.

 

i usually just pop about three excedrine migraine and then sleep it off.
I've heard that putting your hands in warm water can relieve one, but haven't ever tried it.

 

I'm fascinated that you're online, and presumably at work. When mine hit, I have to enter a dark cave for 2-3 days, only venturing out equipped with dark glasses and ear plugs when boredom drives me crazy.

 

If you catch them early I find 2 ibuprofen with 2 acetominophen; a long, hot steamy shower followed by a strong hit of real coffee. That kills the beggar!

(Someone tried the hand in the bucket of warm water whilst asleep trick on me years ago. It just gave me nightmares, LoL!. I dreamt I was drowning, heh! )

my wife had one so bad a few weeks back that I had to take her to the ER. They gave this med called Compazine and it kicked it pretty well down to a raging headache which was far better than her not being able to see and puking etc..

 

That IS bad Kodo. I hate it when the migraines pin you to the bed, too fearful to move incase it starts the puking off *ack*
