Threw in the towel...

Got tired of looking for a monitor. Just bought a Dell 19"Ultrasharp LCD for 243 shipped to my door. Should be a great upgrade from my current monitor. Some people are reporting that they are receiving their LCD's with samsung panels and 5ms refresh rate instead of 8ms.

$243 for a 19" LCD monitor is well priced, 5ms refresh rate would be excellent too

I want one that can act as a tv and monitor, but still run the resolution on a monitor in 1280x1024.

 

I have the exact same thoughts, actually. I'll have to save my pennies a bit first, too.

Ah well my, current 17" LCD monitor isn't too bad. Guess I could have upgraded earlier, but this one has done me for the last three years, or more. Not only that, I didn't wanna pay seven hundred to a thousand bux for the extra two inches, which they were in the not so distant past.

I've got a nice generic AOC branded monitor, which does 1280x960 - just. It's starting to go a bit blurry on the edges, though. And the image is wobbling a bit.

Yeah, I need a new monitor.
