Time to hibernate.

It's the last month of Autumn here, and getting cold.

At the moment it's about 13 C (55 F), and I'm dreading the onset of Winter.

I know most of you think this is Summer weather, but I'm extremely sensitive and delicate.

Come on Summer, I'm waiting (and freezing)!

 

Well, comes sooner or late to us all. Or at least most of us. Except Hawaii. Lets stick our tongues out at LaurieB.

LOL - the average temperature here ( on the Northern California Coast) is 55 degrees F - all year around. A hot day is 70 - 75 degrees. I love it !!

Expecting to hit high 70's this weekend in Oregon...it;s been great for my walking regime I've had to do. If I'd done it in a bikini I would have a great tan by now lol (not an option...don't even go there!)

Yesterday I felt my face running down my neck, and summers just getting here...

 

the average temp in the 'winter' is in the low 80's, in the summer the high eighties. as we are little more than a mountain in the sea, the higher up you go, the cooler it gets. in winter that can be as low as 55f. there is still snow on mauna kea, but the air temp even at the very top, is quite warm. i think the lowest sea level temp recorded is 65f and the highest is 94f. the trade winds and the amount of water we are surrounded by keep the islands cool.

 

Yep, Insomniac. Move to Cairns. Here it rarely gets below 12 degrees Celsiuos (spelling?, can never remember how that is spelt.). For a couple of weeks in July we must look for a blanket or turn off the fans.

I don't own any long sleeved pullovers, rarely wear a long sleeved shirt, definitely don't own a suit, and if my legs were not like table legs, I would never be out of shorts.

Hell, here we start to feel the cold if it drops to 22c.
In July, for a couple of weeks, it may drop down to 12c overnight. Bl**dy freezing for us here in Cairns, then. Bazza
