    System Info for Windows

not only blows the myth of 1.5 x RAM as per other posts, but shows that the Registry on my PC only takes up 3mb (current) with a 54mb RAM (maximum).
Is there a way to decrease the allocated size to the Registry?

I can hear the screams already.:D

Not a bad app Bazza with plenty of system info, but sadly I dunno why i could find the location you have posted in the pic for VM???

while the regisrty lists a max size of 54mb, and only using 3mb... I would be very very loathe to adjust that setting, 51mb is not alot these days to save in space.

Halo, I realise that 54mb is miniscule these days. I have never read anything on the size allocated to the Registry and how much is actually used until I ran SIW.
I was hoping someone might quote a FAQ answer, or similar, to expand my knowledge.

With regard to comment on VM, I am not sure what you mean.
The graphic was cut from Hardware tab-->System info. Hope that is what you are getting at. Bazza

yes Bazza that was what I was after, sadly that app is not fully Vista compatible it seems so i would have to use it on my XP PC.... as the VM figures on Vista are

if your interested in what I see.

My PC is used in a home environment.
Live dangerously :D and try SIW(System Info) . You can't do any harm.

Go to Hardware-->System Info and read your SwapFile size when compared to your Max used, and you may rethink all the advice you have ever read, including Microsoft. I know I have.

Report back, and tell me how much installed RAM on your PC, please.
