I can't stop these popups. I tried to follow all your directions to the tee, but I couldn't do a Panda scan because the site wouldn't allow me to click on My Computer, and I have up to date Java. God I hope I did it right. Here are my attachments:

You missed three important instructions in the READ & RUN ME.

    1) You must not use Spybot's Teatimer

    2) You must not being using MSconfig in selective startup mode.

    3) You must make sure you have the proper versions of software as given in our links and make sure you have all the proper updates too. You are running Spybot version 1.3 which has not been use in a very long time (well over a year). Download, install, and update from the link given in the READ ME. Then run a scan with it.

    Now Disable Spybot's TeaTimer
    • Run Spybot and click Mode
    • Select Advanced Mode.
    • Then click Tools and select Resident.
    • Now in the right window pane, uncheck TeaTimer.
    • Also while this is open, in the left column now select IE Tweaks
    • and then in the right pane make sure all the Miscellaneous locks are unchecked.
    • Now quit Spybot!
Now run MSconfig and select Normal Startup. Do not reboot yet if it tells you it needs to.

Run this Look2Me VX2 Removal and attach the requested log.

Now attach a new HJT log and also a new log from ShowNew.

Do you know what the below files are that all showed up on Jul 30th:
    C:\ai351_03-13-2006.exe
    C:\ai351_patch.exe
    C:\pi80.exe
    C:\si14a.exe

Ok, I did all that. Now different popups are occuring, but now only about 1 per 5 or 10 minutes. The new Spybot works much better.

The files you mentioned at the end of your last post are for my job.

Okay now run this Qoologic Removal Procedure

Make sure viewing of hidden files is enabled (per the tutorial).
Run HijackThis and select the following lines (some may already be gone) but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:
    R0 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Search,SearchAssistant = about:blank
    F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe, C:\WINDOWS\system32\acwkg.exe
    F2 - REG:system.ini: UserInit=C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe,kwdorit.exe,ddjfihw.exe
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [KernelFaultCheck] %systemroot%\system32\dumprep 0 -k
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [UserFaultCheck] %systemroot%\system32\dumprep 0 -u
    O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [bppoxa] C:\WINDOWS\system32\bxlwxc.exe reg_run

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.
Boot into safe mode and use Windows Explorer to delete
    (if found):
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\acwkg.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\bxlwxc.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\kwdorit.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\ddjfihw.exe
If you get an error when deleting a file. Right click on the file and check to see if the read only attribute is checked. If it is, uncheck it and try again. Other wise open Task Manager and kill the process if running then delete the file.

Now if running Win XP goto c:\windows\Prefetch and delete all files in this folder.
Now run Ccleaner (installed while running the READ ME FIRST)
    .

Now we need to Reset Web Settings:
    1. If you have an Internet Explorer icon on your Desktop, goto step 2. If not, skip to step 3.
    2. Now right click on your desktop Internet Explorer icon and select Properties. Then click the Programs tab and then click "Reset Web Settings". Now go back to the General tab and set your home page address to something useful like www.majorgeeks.com. Click Apply. Click Delete Cookies, Click Delete Files and select Delete all Offline content too, Click OK. When it finishes Click OK. Then skip step 3.
    3. If you do not have an Internet Explorer icon on your Desktop, click Start, Control Panel (for some systems it may be Start, Settings, Control Panel), Internet Options, Programs tab and then click "Reset Web Settings". Now go back to the General tab and set your home page address to something useful like www.majorgeeks.com. Click Apply. Click Delete Cookies, Click Delete Files and select Delete all Offline content too, Click OK. When it finishes Click OK.
Note for IE 7 users: You need to select Internet Options then the Advanced tab and then Reset Internet Explorer Settings!

Now reboot in normal mode and post a new HJT log.

Make sure you tell me how things are working now.

Reminder Note: Once we have determined you are malware free you will need to disable System Restore, reboot, and re-enable system restore per step 1 of the READ & RUN ME. This only applies to if using WinXP or WinMe.

I'm afraid I keep getting popups from companies like Vonage and something about diets. These don't seem to want to go away:
    F2 - REG:system.ini: Shell=Explorer.exe, C:\WINDOWS\system32\acwkg.exe
    F2 - REG:system.ini: UserInit=C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe,kwdorit.exe,ddjfihw.exe

I must say the popups aren't as frequent right now as they used to be.

Limewire 4.10.9 is on this computer. Do you think I should delete it?

Did you run the Qoologic Removal Procedure??

Do you have a log from it? If so, attach it.

Goto Add/Remove Programs and uninstall Viewpoint Media Player as instructed in step 0 of the READ ME.

Click on Start, then Run ... type services.msc into the box that opens up, and press 'OK'. On the page that opens, scroll down to System Com Host (if that is not found, look for the short name: aswUpdSv)... then right click the entry, select 'Properties' and press 'Stop Service'. When it shows that it is stopped, next please set the 'Start-up Type' to 'Disabled'. Press 'OK' until you get back to Windows.

Now repeat the above stop and disable for the following services:
    System Spooler Host
Next, run HJT, but instead of scanning, click on the "None of the above, just start the program" button at the bottom of the choices. At the lower right, click on the 'Config" button, and then the Misc tools' button ... select 'Delete an NT Service" ... copy/paste the following into the box that opens, and press "OK":

    System Com Host

Now repeat the Delete NT Service steps for:
    System Spooler Host
If you receive any error messages just ignore them and continue.

Now exit HJT but do not reboot when it tells you it needs to. We will do that further down after running HJT again to fix some other items.

Start by downloading - Pocket KillBox

Extract it to its own folder somewhere that you will be able to locate it later.

IMPORTANT: You should print or save the below locally, so you can refer to them while offline. You must exit all browsers before running the below steps and it would be best if you actually physically unplug your cable to the internet, reboot, and do not run anything but what I give you to do. Also it would be good to exit all processes and items in your System tray.

Do the above before continuing! Okay unplug your cable now.

Make sure you have rebooted in Normal Mode (do not open any other processes)

Run HijackThis and select the following lines but DO NOT CLICK FIX until you exit all browser sessions including the one you are reading in right now:

    F2 - REG:system.ini: UserInit=C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe,kwdorit.exe,ddjfihw.exe

    After clicking Fix, exit HJT.

Now run Pocket Killbox by doubleclicking on killbox.exe
Choose Tools > Delete Temp Files and click Delete Selected Temp Files.
Then after it deletes the files click the Exit (Save Settings) button.
NOTE: Pocket Killbox will only list the added files it is able to find on the system. So when you do the below, if some files do not show in the list after pasting them in, just continue.

    Select:
    • Delete on Reboot
    • then Click on the All Files button.
    • Please copy the file paths below to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose copy):
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\pafgxlf.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\kwdorit.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\ddjfihw.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\NDNuninstall7_22.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\visfx500.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\acwkg.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\jsfggd.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\hnmnx.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\irpsl5771.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\jtnq0755e.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\r86u0ij9e8o.dll
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\SW2EVNT1.DLL
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\WIN_CC1.DLL
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\opujs.dat
    • Return to Killbox, go to the File menu, and choose Paste from Clipboard.
    • Click the red-and-white Delete File button. Click Yes at the Delete on Reboot prompt.
If you receive a PendingFileRenameOperations prompt, just click OK to continue (But please let me know if you receive this message!).
If Killbox does not reboot just reboot your PC yourself.

Now attach a new HJT log and tell me how the steps went.

Also attach a new log from ShowNew and a new log from GetRunKey. Make sure you download and use the new versions of ShowNew and GetRunKey which were just updated today.

Make sure you tell me how things are working now!

I followed your instructions exactly. The the Killbox prompt you mentioned did not appear. Here are the attachments you asked for...

As for the computer I'd say that it works well right now. There are no popups like before and it's not slow at all. Would you say it's clean now?

Some items I asked you to fix are still present in your last logs.

Have HJT fix the below line:
    F2 - REG:system.ini: UserInit=C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe,kwdorit.exe,ddjfihw.exe

Exit HJT and reboot! Is the above line still gone? If not, look for the below files and tell me if you find them:

    C:\WINDOWS\system32\kwdorit.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\ddjfihw.exe
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\jsfggd.exe
    C:\Program Files\Common Files\krzq\krzqm.exe

    Also do the below!

Copy the bold text below to notepad. Save it as fixme.reg to your desktop. Be sure the "Save as" type is set to "all files" Once you have saved it double click it and allow it to merge with the registry.
Now attach a new GetRunKey log.

    How is everything working now?

Ok, did all that. That F2 line still exists no matter how many times I delete it and reboot in normal mode. I cannot find a trace of the 4 items you mentioned in your last post, but I did find something close:

    krzqm.lck

    Does that help?

The computer works fine now. Thank you very much, by the way.

Uninstall CounterSpy and Windows Defender. Then disable any protection from Symantec and AOL antispyware. Then repeat those steps. Is the F2 line gone now?

Where is this file located, but yes it should be deleted no matter where!!
