Too much gpu overclock?

    My radeon was at 601 I think and now its at 681. It shows little yellow blips on the artifact test but runs fine otherwise. (driver crashed occasionally)

    Is this too much/unsafe?

    If you're seeing artifacts in any of the tests, then you are pushing the card too far.

    P.S. This should be in the overclocking and modding forum.

    For the sake of about %3 performance increase vs. the possibility of having a dead card i know what i would chose.

    I'd put it back to stock or maybe very close to stock before something goes wrong.

    The chances are in that OEM machine you have poor airflow and the thing os overheating too.

    You may have already damaged your VC

    Successful OCs are usually acquired a few Mhz at a time testing in between
