toooo slow

This computer is so slow to boot up. and when i click on the start button it is slow again to go to whatever (control panel,my documents etc.) once it open i can move around in it normaly but when i change to anything else it creeps again. internet it really takes a long time to load up. i am using xp professional total 40g RAM-2min -recomended 285 -allocated 288 dont know what else to list here.

 

Just so you know you didnt make any sense in what you typed, no pc has 40gigs of RAM, not sure the rest of what you typed meant. Anyways refer to http://forums.majorgeeks.com/announcement.php?f=29 and post back.

(custom) initial 288mb
maximum 576


(total paging)
minimum 2mb
recomended 285mb
currently allocated 288mb

dont know if this is where i am supposed to be looking
