I think I keep spitting out little peices of my teeth. And I left my cell in the car which is at my GF job and no keys to her apt.. and I am out of town so I have no way to get to family/dentist I was wondering if its bad for me to go for 10 hours without going somewhere? I feel no pain just keep feeling what is teeth pieces coming out and spitting up. So is there harm to myself "serious harm"

Not if all you did was crack or chip a tooth.

I would be very tempted if same was happening to me to gargle and spit with mouthwash or salt water to see if any more bits come out, also try and see with finger or toothbrush if a back tooth is loose or not as you wouldnt want to swallow or choke on one during the night.

But would see a dentist as soon as possible.

Well I tried looking but can't see anything chipping. I got some work needed already but no job and just got done with hospital visit and applying for poor assistance through there I didn't want another bill to come to me while unemployed. :-D But yes I remember my mother told me back in the day when I got head butted as a younger one to bite on wet rag. Another thing is I was wondering how much/what dentist do for my tooth. Pretty funny when young.. nasty but funny memory.. As a child I didn't brush my teeth much at all. No cavities what so ever or teeth issue. Finally I go dentist every so often and was brushing teeth twice a day morning and night. GO dentist 2 years later had like 6 cavities and few caps put on the top of molers. So they ask the question do you brush and I said yeah daily and I just thought it was funny that after I brushed twice daily cavities came. But now I got a little space in the front which got worst over the last 6 yrs and finally need to get it done. I guess they just fill it in with something rolleyes Its like between both front teeth little space between him where barely chip was chipped.

Get thee to a dentist. If you have a problem, and wait until you have pain, you will pay much more to fix it. See if there is a dental school or dental program at a local college. Sometimes you can get some basic care, cleaning x-rays and such for a lot less money. I think they do a lot of it for free, depends on the school and need. Some dentists offer payment options, just make sure you read the fine print.

    Good luck! :cool

Dude...if you have pieces of teeth coming out, you need to get to a dentist. My mom's cousin had a bad tooth infection. It ended up going to his brain and causing permanent damage.

Btw, as far as the no brushing thing...you can have decay that continues to spread from tooth to tooth where it touches for a while. It won't show up right away.

Double ditto. :( Needs to be checked for sure. OK, so $$ is an issue. Then find a free dental clinic in YOUR area. We have them in here in Michigan, where the dentists donate their time and equipment, and not charge a penny to the patient. They help anyone who has no insurance, and no way to pay. They take donations from businesses and anyone who wants to donate.
I don't know what city you live in, but here are two I just randomly found in IOWA, but they may not be near you... :confused

I feel your pain.. literally. I have 2 wisdom teeth I that I need to get removed. I've been putting it off for lack of funds but last night it hurt so much I took 4 extra strength Tylenol and when that didn't seem to work I took Tylenol with Codine.. That knocked me right out and beautiful sleep I had :-D

So, I have to figure out someway to get these beasts out of my face before I die and you need to get your tooth looked at too! Some dentists have payment plans, see if you can get on one of those.. good luck!!

Haha :-D I have found in the past Ibuprofen works great for tooth ache, they dull the pain at the nerve instead of masking it like opiates. 'of course not to be considered medical advice just what I have found works in the past'

On the subject of wisdom teeth I always thought mine had come through, how wrong I was!:-D They came through a couple of years ago and started to nip the inside of my mouth as one of them was impacted but luckily there is a nice hole there now so I don't have any probs:-D

For me that doesn't, we had Ibuprofen at my last job and I had to take 5 of them just to get the same effects from 2 Tylenol. The only thing that seems to work for me is anything with Acetaminophen in it.

Pain usually goes along with abscess, you might have gum disease which will cause you to loose more. Either one I would get it taken care of soon as possible.
Oh, and take care with the over the counter pain relievers or you'll be dealing with liver damage too.

I've had two wisdom teeth impact in on themselves on different occasions, which is definitely not fun. Usually spitting out shards of tooth for about a year afterwards - yech!
