I have totally had it with my crazy wireless keyboard and mouse.
Now am ready to go back to just a really good quality keyboard and mouse for a desktop, which is Vista compatible (if there is such a thing).
Anyone have a brand you like a lot?

I bought a Logitech Cordless MX3200 Laser set a while ago. Cost heaps of $$$$ at the time. Mouse has turned it in. Can't get a proper answer from Logitech as to why it jumps around like a drunken sailor. Have abandoned that mouse and installed a wired DELL mouse. It works perfectly.

BTW: Logitech software continues to tell me that my Mouse (MX600) battery is good despite the fact that it is not installed, has batteries removed and is boxed away. :D

Despite this, we bought a cheaper Logitech keyboard and mouse for #2 son's new laptop and it works great. Can't remember the model though, as he is working on an Island and won't be back for a week or so to check with him.

on the subject of keyboards, i just switched to an apple pro keyboard yesterday and it works like a charm. there are all the correct keys in place just like a windows keyboard and even the volume buttons work like they should on a windows keyboard

the only button i cant seem to get to work is the eject key...not a big problem though since my dvd drive on my tower is about 1ft away from my hand

    Here is my suggetions:

    Mouse: RAZER Diamondback

On the fly customization, and its fits your hand like a glove. Seriously, I've not had hand cramps after switching to this mouse even after 18 hour gaming marathons.

Keyboard (for First Person Shooters): Ideazon MERC

Only downside to this board is that you really get used to using the fps buttons on the side, and its hard to go back WASD for gaming afterwards.

Keyboard (for everyday use): DAS Keyboard II

Nothing like a classic. I personally love the old IBM keyboards, and this one improves the speed of your typing by not having the letters on the keys. The old IBM keyboards last forever, and make that cool clicky sound as you type.

Ok, so Das Keyboard is mainly for novelty. I'd still recommend the MERC for general use.

    Hope this helps.
