forum wars 2006 was an Invite to a competition, not spam....
It seems that my post is gone, sorry if I broke the rulz...
problem is... I dont know what rule I broke

I can post the info here instead of the offsite link explaining it, if you wish.
nobody has to join any other forum to play or to view.
Let me know if you might be interested, we hope to have 20+ forums playing.
so ya know..... everything is done here, not at the link previously provided.
all testing is done here also, it's verified by Forum Police and entered into an online database and totaled and displayed at my site for viewing.

I hope you'll all join us.... we had some interest from some of your members last year, but not enough to join....

Your thread was in fact viewed as spam and deleted for a few of reasons.

- You are a new member thus unknown to us and started a thread inviting our members to participate in a competition.

- Based on your post it could only be assumed that you were likely signing up at multiple forums posting the same invitiation which is considered spamming.

- There was no attempt made to privately contact the mods/admins of this site BEFORE starting your thread to see if something like this was acceptable or if any of them were interested in overseeing such a project. From your site.

To not be considered a spammer a member is usually known to us before posting anything like this. They also know enough about what is and isn't acceptable on the forum and know they should make contact with the site owners, a mod or admin prior to starting such a thread because if they don't, it will just be deleted.

 

I get what your trying to do rapter. But MG is a realy clean place. So i get what MA and addy are saying too.....Thow if the choice of deleting it had been in my lap insted of addys, i whould have deleted it too. If you plan to post any thing that resembles an advertisment or the like talk to a mod or an admin......Thow i do see your post at home in the benchmark forum but thats up to the admins....


@MA Its whare 5 ( or another # of people ) on a forum add thare 3D mark scores together to compete with anothers forums scores added together.... I think i got that right....

 

I'm Sorry... looks like I approched this the wrong way.
i should have PMed a mod or admin 1st, but also thought that it would be read by a mod or admin just by posting. I understand why you did what you did. And I might have done the same at my forums. But I would have checked it out first. If MG's doesn't want to play with the other forums out there, thats fine. But so you know, this really is fun, sorry to see you lose out without even a look see...
Also as you can see, Im following up. Im not a 1 post wonder and Im not going to hide when somebody bashes me...

 

I think some might be interested here, talk to one of the admins and maybe post it in the benchmarking forum if you get an ok . I might be interested if i get some more details. ..

Oh... there's taunting. we have alot of fun with it. part of it is that it's global.
you could post at any forum... every forum has a forum police force of 4 to 9 members who verify your scores when you post them here and enter them into an online database. The cops can verify scores at any forum.
Nobody has to join any forum to play, it's all done here.

 

Hey raptor ,Forum warz is an overclocking competition to see which forum has the fastest computers,its totally friendly and good clean fun,I entered last year with Raptor for the Raptor pit forum "we were runner up " Me and beastusa asked around but there wasnt enough people interested in overclocking at majorgeeks,let alone a moderator to police the scores who have they'r hands full on this board as it is

It really is good clean fun and promotes friendship between forums,its also free advertising for the sites and last year there were givaways which added to the fun
