I have Toshiba Satellite M35X-S109. I have used it for over two years now.
Today the laptop screen went blank all of a sudden. I turned off the laptop, and turned it back on, the fan seemed to work only and nothing else happened. I turned it off again and turned it back but the computer doesn’t seem to boot up. It seems as if the fan starts to work when I turn on the laptop and nothing else works. IT might be the mother board which isn’t working. I am not sure what is wrong with the laptop as I am a novice user.
    Can anybody lend a hand?
    thanks

Make sure the laptop is powered off and the AC cord is disconnected from the PC. Remove the battery and leave it out for a couple of minutes. Then hook up the AC adapter power cord (with the battery still removed) and try to turn it on. If it powers up normally, let Windows load completely, then shut down normally (click Start > Turn Off, etc...). Unplug the AC cord again, replace the battery, plug the AC cord back in and try to power up. Give it a shot and post your results (or lack of results as the case may be ;) )
