    Hey guys..

I just took my faf out of my laptop to clean the dust etc out (I have done this many times) only this time I rebooted my laptop and the mouse track pad has started heating up a lot.. I disassembled it again and booted it up and touched the chip underneath and it was overheating a lot..

Everything is plugged back into the right place so I don't know why this has happened.. the only thing is different is that the fan is rattling, it does this sometimes and stops but air is still circulating.. also it wouldn't just be the chip that heard up right? Nothing else is getting hot.

Comp is an Acer aspire es15
    8gb ram
    1tb hd
    Amd quad core 2.4
    Win 10x64

Any help will be greatly appreciated need anymore info?

    Cheers
    Adam

The rattling fan is not a good sign, in my opinion.

Fan not rattling could be a sign that it isn't working.
If I were you, I'd replace the fan and avoid any heat related problems. If the touchpad is hot, areas near it are getting some residual heat. That is never good for any computer.
