I have tried to follow the directions in the malware sticky, but every time I start up Super Anti Spyware, my computer restarts in the middle of running.
This virus, trojan, or whatever it is, is eating my computer alive. I have a hard time even maintaining internet access.
    Please help! :confused

This started out as the Spyware Protect 2009 pop up virus and has spun completely out of control. I've been battling this thing for a couple of weeks now, and realized I needed outside help...

Here is what I have managed to get so far. The computer keeps shutting offline, and not completing downloands.

    Hi there.

Were you able to run Combofix and get a log from that?

You ran a full scan with MBAM but took no action with what it found! Did you since fix what it found in further scans? If not you need to do this.

Also your mglogs.zip was very incomplete.
    • Did you receive any error messages whilst running it?
    • Did you let it run to completion?
    • Did you agree to the hijack this licence?

    1. Please rescan with MBAM if you haven't already and fix all that it finds.
    2. Retry scanning with SAS after you have MBAM fix threats.
    3. Attach the log from Combofix if you have it.
    4. Re-run MGTools.exe and agree to the HJT licence, and also refer to the below for any possible error messages you may receive:

    Using MGtools

(scroll down about halfway to "possible error messages")

    Thanks
    Kes

I ran Malwarebytes...and did indeed try to fix the errors...it requires a restart. Once I restart, the same errors are still there.
Combofix wouldn't run even after disabling AVG...it kept saying AVG was detected on my computer.
I'm rerunning Malware bytes, and will attempt combofix and MGtools again.
    Wish me luck

good luck! :) If indeed you have trouble running combofix, try renaming it to 123.com and try run it again.
