Tower Starts by itself

    I have a tower that starts mysteriously by itself, ruling out schedules and a short in the power switch.
    Can someone alter the start up software on a soft on power button to start by itself??

    Humm i would say its a virus but not sure Try running a virus scan and if that does not work post a another message.

    One way for puters to start up is a power failure ..or the circuit cutting in and out.

    If you are on a network, have you got "wake on LAN" enabled ?
