The LAN works fine, but WAN is dead.

I just bought this router, connected it, installed the drivers and manually upgraded firmware, but i cant get the WAN Led to flash and Wireless Configuration utility won't even recognize the wireless network adapter and suggests that i should plug it in.

This is my first ever wireless (semi?) router so i might have missed some obvious step.

    Hi coloradooo3.

First thing to do would be to power down entire network - modem, router and comps and then power on in sequence letting each establish it's connection before powering up the next - modem, router and then comps.
If you have any username and password details to connect to the ISP, double check the details to make sure they are correct.
Have you contacted the ISP to make sure there is no problem from their side?
Are you positive the ethernet/phone cable is good from modem to router? Try new cable.
Left field suggestion - check the ISP Support pages for a listing of disallowed/unapproved routers. May be a conflict there. (Really far fetched but who knows.)

If all this is negative, possible hardware fault on the WAN plug itself. RMA to manufacturer for replacement under warranty.
