TR Crypt trojan warning

First and foremost, you guys are one of the most fantastic computer help forums i have ever been to! I tell a lot of my friends to stop by when they have serious issues, and like myself, most of them have found the help they needed. Thanks for all of the hard work you do!

And now for the issue. I noticed a lot of random re-directs when surfing the net, not to mention a noticeable slowing in bootup, program launching, webpage loading and other things. So, naturally, i downloaded a few scanners (Avira, Avast, MBAM, Spybot, AVG, and the others listen in your RUN ME FIRST post) and went to town. Thankfully nothing showed up.

However, Avira will constantly pop up with "TR/Crypt.PEPM.Gen" and "TR/Crypt.XPAC.Gen" warnings, showing that they are located in WINDOWS\Temp\_avast4_\unpXXXXXXXXXX.tmp (the number changes with each warning, which has been about a dozen and a half in the last hour). Avira has been the only program to catch this, and no matter which choice i am given (Quarantine, Delete, Ignore, Rename, Move), it doesnt seem to make any difference.

On reading, i've seen many opinions on this, saying that Avira does tend to falsely accuse normal files of being this trojan. But i have also seen terrifying "Your computer will burst into flames if you dont get rid of it" messages. And so, i will see what you guys have to say.
