TR/Crypt.XPACK.Gen Virus won't go! Please save me!!

    I use XP with Avira and it has detected TR/Crypt.XPACK.Gen virus. I've tried SDFix and then SmitfraudFix in safe mode and neither apparantly helped.

    I've read confilicting opinions about this particular virus; one said it was practically harmless and the other stressed removal immediately and resetting any of my internet passwords from another computer. Either way, this thing is pissing me off!

    Please, please help me to get rid of it.

    If you ran the procedures, most of the problems may be gone...but without looking at the logs, I can't say that all of it is gone. :)
