I used the How to Protect yourself from malware! thread to rid myself of the problems I was having with my computer. It helped immensely, the browser isn't opening new windows on it's on, and my computer overall is running much better than it was before using the guide (at one point I had sound bytes playing on my computer when no browser or program was open and running). All though it helped I'm still having some small issues that seem to have come from the initial infection. Last week I was using McAfee virus protection and I went to this one website and as soon as the page loaded the warning system alerted me that a Trojan had infected my computer and couldn't be quarantined. It wouldn't let me repair or delete the Trojan either. I tried running the computer in Safe Mode and McAfee didn't show that I had any infections, but I ran Ad-Aware SE Personal Edition during the same session and it found a Malware object with a TAC rating of 6 and Win32.Trojan.Agent TAC rating of 10. It says it cleaned them and my other two cleaners McAfee and Spybot S&D came up empty handed. A few days later after a couple of updates during a Safe Mode session McAfee found 11 viruses on my computer. It cleaned them all (or so it says it did) and the problems lessened a little. I came here and downloaded the AntiVir Personal Edition and removed McAfee from my progam list, and removed it's file folder manually then rebooted. I ran the newer version of AV I just downloaded and it found this Trojan on my PC.

C:\WINDOWS\system32\fxsp50.dll [DETECTION] Is the Trojan horse TR/Dldr.ConHook.Gen

I cleaned it with AntiVir Personal Edition and like I said my browser isn't opening new windows on it's own now, my computer is still acting a little glitchy. Sometimes pages load extremely slow, the window I will currently be in will make a clicking noise and I will have to click in the browser again to make it active, and if I am not listening to music and my speakers are on (even at a low volume setting) I can hear this static noise everytime I move my mouse, when programs are running or loading, and if something is downloading. I followed the steps word for word, could there be more that I may not have done that will help me get rid of these minor inconviences?

Hi, yes the steps are only the 1st part to removing malware from your PC, while they will remove many many malware items and pests not every scanner will pick up and remove the most stubborn ones they need manual intervention and thats where attaching all the logs requested in the guide you read come in very handy.

Once attached one of our malware experts can look them over and once they have determined the malware thats affecting you still if at all, they will issue you with some either specialist tools to use or just some manual deletion instructions.

    BUT attach the logs ;)

Yeah I went into the wrong forum when I posted this thread. I went to the How to Protect yourself from malware! thread and got off on the wrong foot. I was redirected here malware removal thread & I have the right materials now and am more prepared to get the process rolling in the right direction :D
